I'm telling you; it takes a village. There is no way I could do a podcast by myself. There's just too much for a busy (working) author to do and not enough hours to do it. On top of that, as I sit and write, I'm in quarantine thanks to having a little case of COVID. I'm 3 days into it and feel just bad enough that I don't want to do anything, but not bad enough not to do anything. I've gotten out of bed and taken a shower. I made my favorite mint tea, and I made a shopping list for the family since I can't go to the store like I usually do on Sundays.
What's kept me going is chatting with my UFB podcast girlies who are getting the next few episodes ready to go, rounding up the next guests, and scheduling interviews, while allowing me to take a step back for just a minute.
THANK YOU, Jen and Jenny, for carrying the load when I can barely carry my laundry to the washer. (And THANK YOU to my husband for carrying my laundry to the washer.) He also got us pizza from Empire Slice House, which is one of my favorites.
There's a lot to talk about with upcoming events, the next book in The Veritas Codex series being sent off to the publisher and editors, and all the great new episodes of the podcast, but honestly, I wore myself out just setting up the laptop.
To quote my fellow Oklahoman and author, Paul Harvey, "Stand by for news..."
